1- The faculty of Pharmacy follows the credit hour system which is the measuring unit that defines the working study load of the course. The academic year is divided into two semesters of four months each. The Faculty Committee reserves the right to establish a summer session that includes concentrated courses. This depends on the request of the respective departments, the availability of facilities and any Faculty restrictions.
2- In order to obtain a B.Sc. Degree in Pharmacy, the student must complete 176 credit hours, one hundred and seventy six credits. These credits are distributed among five academic levels. These include:
- (13) Credit hours for University requirements, which constitutes 7.4% of the total number of credits.
- (157) Credit hours core curriculum, which constitutes 89.2% of the total number of credits.
- (6) Credit hours for the elective courses, which constitutes 3.4 % of the total number of credits.
3- The student has the right to choose the (6) elective hours from 35 available elective courses in the fourth and fifth undergraduate level or he/she can choose a "track" , out of four tracks, according to his/her future job interests.
